Millipedes again this morning! I asked the LORD, “Why?” I was led to a couple interesting facts. What is the milipede’s job? I am glad you asked. Millipedes are essential for soil health: by releasing processed organic matter at the hind end, they act as decomposers and help return nutrients back into soil. How long do millipedes live? Millipedes live 7-10 years doing the task that our Abba has assigned them to do here on earth, but if taken away from their assignment and put in a home or business, a millipede will only live 2-4 weeks. Ugh! We have millipedes. This morning as I picked up the fourth one to throw in the toilet, my Abba stopped me for a minute. He said, ” Do you see this millipede? He runs from morning to night not getting anywhere. A bump in the road changes its direction to the next path. It never rests until it dies.” How many of us are on that path of toiling, changing paths when it gets hard, and doing things in our way and in our own strength. Whew! Do you not love this chapter of Matthew? I do. When I pray there are many things I pray about, but one I pray about often. I would hear the voice of our Abba and I would not be deceived and fall away. That is prophesied in II Thessalonians 2: 1-4. Welcome LOVED and CHOSEN by God! Do you look forward to the Holidays? I do. It seems people are a little kinder during the months of November and December. It also seems that people are a little more rushed during this time. I have evolved over the years to slow down a little bit. I used to get up at six to get the turkey ready for the oven and then I would be on my feet continually until dinner was served and beyond for clean-up.
