Matthew Chapter 10

Welcome CHOSEN and LOVED by God! I hope you are having the best day. We started our day with storms raging which does not make our puppies very happy for sure. One headed under the bed and the other went over to my husband’s side of the bed. When they are scared they look to us to keep them safe. Our older dog will always find my husband if he is home to comfort her. Today I want to jump right into the Word with you. I am going to experiment with a camera so that I can shoot video for some of these posts because there are SO much many things I want to talk about in our chapters, but for time’s sake, I do not. This again was a chapter that was FULL of nuggets. Reread it. I have several times.

Matthew 10:1 “And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.”

Matthew 10:7-8 “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven [c]is at hand.’ Heal the sick, [d]cleanse the lepers, [e]raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”

Earlier in our time together we talked about intercession and authority. The LORD has called us to intercession AND He has also given us the authority and the POWER to do ALL the above. I am still learning this. I find it interesting the first verse of Matthew 10 is talking about warfare. We are Warriors. The fact of the matter is that some are sitting back and wanting others to do battle for them. Nope. We are all called to this battle. And, from now until we are with Jesus the battle will be ramping up as the devil sees his time running out more than ever before in history.

I want to touch on the fact that, Ephesians 6:12 tells us, “Our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” If this is the case we need to know that the LORD has given us the authority and the power to come against these forces. What do the verses in Matthew and the verse in Ephesians above mean for us?

We need to get more equipped than ever before in our lives. Are you attending an end-times church? Do you put your armor on every single day? Are you teaching your children and grandchildren about the Armor of God? About authority? About power from the LORD? If not the time is now. The time for playing is done. It. Is. Done.
