For Such a Time

This bracelet was given to me recently at a Tres Dias Weekend. Although I have heard this Scripture verse many times and read it many times this time was different. This time when I looked at this bracelet I am reminded that each of us has an assignment that is individual. God’s assignment for me is not the same as His assignment for you.

I was reminded of this last week when my prayer partner, Dedra, told me that God has given me this assignment of writing. She then preceded to tell me I was being selfish because this is my assignment and I have some things to write that I believe are for today. By the way, everyone needs a Dedra in his/her life. Truly.

At the beginning of verse 14 Mordecai lets Esther know that if she does not carry our her assignment someone else will and she and her father’s house will perish. I know that me writing is not as dire as what was told to Esther, but I do not want to leave one gift one the table. I want to enter the gates of heaven with Jesus saying, “Well done good and faithful servant.”
