    Matthew Chapter 7

Welcome CHOSEN and LOVED by God. Do you take time for interruptions in life. What I mean is, when you have your to do list and someone stops to talk or someone needs you to pray, do you take the time for the interruption or do you go on your way? I used to be so focused on things at hand that I would rush from one thing to the next. I did not take time to truly listen and pray for people. I would tell people to “Talk and walk,” so I could continue on my path. It has taken me time to truly allow myself to be interrupted,…

    Matthew Chapter 6

Welcome, LOVED and CHOSEN by God. I hope you had the very best weekend. I did. We had some friends over for a Friendsgiving Saturday. Mind you my home is not that big and we have one bathroom at the moment, but I will tell you this, everyone had a great time. If I had my way we would have people visit every week. Mr. King keeps me grounded in how many events we can have at our house, but I am still cheering and hoping for an Acts 2:46-47 home. I have said for years I want my home to be a safe haven for all who enter. Over…

    Matthew 4

Welcome, LOVED and CHOSEN by God. Have you ever sat and contemplated the fact that YOU really are LOVED and YOU have been CHOSEN by God to be his son/daughter? I have many times over the years and it is truly humbling because I know who I was before I followed Jesus. I know what path I was headed; it was not a good path or a good life. Matthew 4:18-22 “And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 They…

    Matthew 5

Welcome, LOVED and CHOSEN by God! I hope your day is as beautiful as it is here is Georgia. It is a little cooler than normal for this time of year but I really love it. I think I will love it a little bit more when we have a fireplace again. There is nothing cozier than having a fire crackling away while being curled up on the couch or chair. As I was reading our chapter today I was thinking there is a lot of stuff in this one chapter of Matthew. today. Whew! There is also so many things I could comment on but today I am going…

    Matthew Chapter 3

Welcome, LOVED and CHOSEN by God! Matthew 3:8-12 “8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, 9 and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit [a]and fire. 12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He…

    Matthew Chapter 2

Welcome, CHOSEN, and LOVED by God! It is a rainy day in Georgia. It is the kind of day that makes you want to have a cozy cup of something hot and cuddle up with a good book or and good Christmas movie. Well, maybe that is just me. I have asked the LORD for a large covered porch when we move so I can sit outside and listen to the rain. It is such a peaceful sound and I love reading on a porch in the rain. It is one of my favorite things. I hope you were able to read chapter two of Matthew, but in case you…

    The Book of Matthew

Blessings to you, one who is LOVED by our Abba, with an everlasting love. Almost ten years ago I had a group on Facebook called “Wisdom Seekers.” I wrote Monday through Friday about a chapter in the Bible. I encouraged my readers to read the chapter for themselves, ask the LORD what He was telling them, and then respond. I have been pondering starting this again, but here, and not on Facebook. We will probably not go in order of Books, but we will go as I feel God leads. I encourage you, the reader, to come along on this journey. We will go together one chapter at a time.…

    God Gives Me Hearts

Over the past few years I get an almost daily reminder of His love for me. I will be walking with my friends and I see hearts. Many times I stop walking to take a picture, but sometimes I just walk by with a smile knowing God is giving me hearts. I never get the same heart and my eyes are always drawn to the hearts He gives. Each time I see a heart, I feel the love of a Father to His daughter. Each time I am overwhelmed by His goodness to me. Through the hearts my Abba gives me I am constantly reminded that He sees me. I…

Things I Have Learned in 2021

For the last few years, I have written a post about the things I have learned the previous year. I thought I would add another entry to the list. Last year I made mistakes in some situations and I walked in wisdom in others. I hope I learned from both. Last year I learned that people are more hungry for Jesus than ever before and it’s okay to share Him on the street corner and in line at the grocery store. Last year I learned not to take life or people for granted no matter the age. Last year I learned people need to hear, “I love you,” every single…

    Restoration Specialist

An oldie but goodie: Last week I was headed to the store, and I saw this truck on a side street turning the direction in which I was traveling. I started thinking about restoration in marriages and in our relationships with others. I also started thinking that our TRUE Restoration Specialist is Jesus. Only He can fully restore us to each other and to Himself. If we searched our hearts most of us have relationships with others that are estranged and need healing. Something was said or done, and the walls went up a little at a time until they are high and thick. We reason that we did not…
